If you are using Usb pendrive or USB External Hard disk it is possibe to add a Background image. First you need to create or download a image 48*48 in .ICO format.
name it usb.ico .For your background image you need a 1024*768 size image in .JPG format. name it image.jpg

Then Open you notepad copy paste the following lines:

[autorun]
ICON=usb.ico

then save as "autorun.inf"

Open again notepad and copy paste the following lines:

[ExtShellFolderViews]
{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC} = {BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}

[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=image.jpg
IconArea_Text=0x00000000

Save as "desktop.ini"

Now you have 4 files as "autorun.inf",desktop.ini","usb.ico","image.jpg"
Finally just copy the 4 files and paste it your Usb Pen drive's Root.
Unplug and replug your Usb using Safety remove option on your windows.
